Write a 1100 word essay addressing each of the following points/questions. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point. There should be four sections, one for each bullet below. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Support your ideas with at least three (3) citations in your essay. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount. Review the rubric criteria for this assignment.
- Review one of the conflict theorists: Bonger, Dahrendorf, or Vold. Compare and contrast the theorist, the culture in which they lived, the economic times, and the relevance of their theories in today’s culture.
- The peacemaking movement advocates for more “humanist solutions to crime.” Write an essay on whether or not, if victimized, they would participate in a restorative justice program or a sentencing circle.
- Compile your reasons for participation or non-participation in a “green movement issue” and then objectively consider the pros and cons of such humanist solutions that may be available.
- The module notes how a successful marriage is a key variable in a person’s ability to “mature out of crime.” If you are or ever have been married, discuss how your life has changed since your wedding day. Compare your lifestyle with the lifestyles of unmarried students. Write about the particular issues of responsibility, commitment, and time and how this impacts your career.
