Prompt:In the United States, historians refer to the United States 19thcentury conflict with Mexico as the Mexican-American War. In Mexico, some refer to this conflict as the “U.S. Invasion” or the “War of the United States against Mexico.” In many ways, the labels employed in conflicts are much more than just words, rather the terms we use to refer to conflicts conjure up “fields of power” which play a role in shaping historical opinions and interpretations of an event or conflict.
